How MAYA helps
Five programmes, each with a stated scope. Read what a programme does not do as carefully as what it does — an organisation that will not tell you its limits has not thought about them.
Any Druze woman or girl who wants to talk to someone before deciding anything.
A confidential first conversation. A person listens, helps you name what you are facing, and explains the options that exist. You decide what happens next — including nothing.
It is not therapy, not legal advice, and not an emergency line. No one contacts your family, employer, or community on your behalf.
Women and girls who want a sustained relationship with someone further along the road.
A matched mentor who meets you regularly, listens, and helps you think through decisions — education, work, family, direction.
A mentor is not a counsellor and does not treat mental health conditions. Mentors are screened, trained, and bound by the same confidentiality rules as staff.
Girls and young women building confidence, skills, and direction.
Group programmes, workshops, and guidance on study, training, and what comes after school.
It is not a substitute for school, and it does not replace a parent or guardian. Participation by minors requires guardian consent except where that would put the girl at risk.
Women who need something MAYA does not itself provide.
Referral to credentialed professionals — psychological, legal, medical, social — with their qualifications stated openly, and help navigating the first appointment.
MAYA does not deliver clinical care and does not vouch for outcomes. You are told who a professional is and what they are licensed to do.
Women and girls pursuing education, training, or work.
Practical support toward a qualification or a job: guidance, skills, work readiness, and the confidence to use them.
MAYA does not guarantee employment or placement, and does not make claims about outcomes it has not measured.
What you share is seen only by the staff member helping you. It is not shared with your family, your community, or another organisation without your explicit consent. There are legal limits to confidentiality — for example where a child is at risk of serious harm. Those limits are written plainly on the Get Support page before you fill in anything.
MAYA is not an emergency response service and does not provide licensed therapy or medical treatment directly. Where clinical care is needed, MAYA connects women with qualified professionals and states their credentials.
