Our mission

Stand beside women. Do not speak for them.

MAYA Foundation exists to empower Druze women and girls to navigate personal, emotional, educational, and social challenges through confidential guidance, meaningful connection, mental wellbeing support, access to appropriate support, and opportunities for advancement.

Vision

A future in which every woman and girl knows that seeking support is a sign of strength, and that a trusted path forward exists.

01

Why MAYA exists

Support exists in Lebanon. What often does not exist is a trusted first door — somewhere a woman can ask a question without her question becoming public, and without being handed to a stranger who does not understand the world she lives in. MAYA is built to be that door.

02

The gap

Finding help is hard. Knowing whom to trust is harder. A woman weighing whether to speak is not only weighing her problem — she is weighing what happens to her family, her reputation, and her standing in a close community. Any service that ignores that calculation will not be used.

03

What MAYA believes

That a woman is the authority on her own life. That confidentiality is not a feature but a precondition. That dignity is not something granted to her by an organisation — it is hers already, and our job is to not take it. And that support offered on someone else's terms is not support.

04

The future we are building

A confidential first point of contact. Mental wellbeing pathways. Youth programmes. A referral map of credentialed professionals. Published finances. This is a decade of work, and it starts with the people willing to fund it before it exists.

Leadership

MAYA will publish the names and real credentials of its board, advisors, and professional partners. Until those are confirmed, this page stays empty. We would rather show you nothing than show you someone who is not real.
